The management of the Kenya Commercial Bank on Thursday, caught a
woman identified as Nancy Wawira Muthoni, after stealing money from a
customer’s bag in a Ruiru banking hall and paraded her across other
banks in the town with a neck tag boldly written “I am thief. Mimi ni mwizi.”
A Police official, Isaac Thuranira told Nairobi News that the woman
who has since been taken into custody as police search for her
accomplices who were captured in the bank’s CCTV footage, will be
arraigned in court on Monday.
“We are still looking for two other male accomplices who escaped as she was not alone during the incident,” said Thuranira.
