FRCN DG speaks at a historic media workshop

The Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Dr. Mansur Liman , is expected to make a major remark at a media workshop known as, “Coastal Cities at risk”, which holds   at the National Broadcast Academy, Ikeja Lagos.

The event, the first of its kind at the pioneer radio broadcast training school, will see Dr. Liman share ideas of how best to report  flood prone coastal cities, especially Lagos State.

Mansur Liman, a seasoned Journalist and former Head of BBC Hausa Service was appointed the Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in May this year.

Other speakers at the media workwork include the Lagos State  Commissioner for Environment  Dr. Babatunde Adejare  and the  Director of Information , Ministry of Environment, Lagos State Mr. A. Awobiyi.

The workshop seeks to address salient issues such as the role of the media in setting the agenda for building resilience to flood risk in Lagos, highlights of research on vulnerability of  Coastal cities and participants’ feedback and strategies for communication on flooding as it concerns coastal cities in Nigeria.
