Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode said yesterday at Ikotun where he flagged off this year’s tree planting exercise, that the jobs created covers different categories of employees including artisans and professionals.

The News Agency of Nigeria, quotes  Ambode as commending the efforts of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) in its advocacy activities that have resulted in the planting of about 5.9 million trees.

The 14th of July every year is set aside as tree planting day, being part of efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change and global warming.
