Father Okafor who studied at the Seat of Wisdom Seminary, Owerri and Immaculate Conception Seminary, Umuahia before he was ordained priest was the Senior Prefect of the 1995 set in Mary Slessor Secondary Technical School, Arochukwu.

Some of his class mates said they were not surprised that he would end up becoming a lawyer, considering his exploit in government and history subjects, as well as his nature of involving in serious arguments both in class and after school.

As a senior prefect , he was very firm in enforcing the school’s rules and regulations, which earned him the name, “Abacha”, (Late Sani Abacha was the Military Head of State that time) which many still call him even as a reverend father.

On the occasion of his calling to Bar ,which was attended by Mr. David Otusi, who was Sunday's assistance when he was Senior Prefect, Father Sunday said, arguing cases in courts, which people should expect to see, won't by any means affect his primary duty of working in the Lord’s vineyard.

Meanwhile, the Octogenarian  Pius Chuka Enebeli who also made the list of those called to Bar, is said to have made history, for achieving such at 84.

The ceremony was witnessed by the First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

The Director-General, Nigeria Law School, Olanrewaju Onadeko, presented the candidates to the Body of Benchers under the chairmanship of Chief Bandele  Aiku(SAN).

Onadeko said: “Let me congratulate one of the new wigs today, who is making history in his right, by being the oldest new wig ever produced by the Nigeria Law School. He is 80 years old and we wish him a successful career at the Bar.”
