Nigeria's first private zoo fondly called "Origin" which is located in Majidun Area of Ikorodu,  needs the urgent assistance of the Lagos State Government to continue to function and add colour to people's lives.

The complex also called "Climate Change Zoo" suffers serious depletion of animals while some of the animals look unkempt and sick, due to the lack of space.

Prince Abiola Kosoko , the CEO of the zoo said efforts to move to a bigger place have hit brick-walls as Lagos State Government refused to sell the parcel of land at reduced price.

"Government expects us to pay many millions of naira. Where do we get that kind of money? We expect Lagos State to be a partner in progress towards saving some of the endangered species as legacy for the coming generations", he said via a phone interview".
