VP Not Sure Of Dialogue With Niger Delta Avengers

The Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo says he does not know who the Niger Delta Avengers are.

Osinbajo denied knowledge of the avengers when a journalist asked him the position of Nigerian government on dialoging with the Niger Delta militant group, which has claimed responsibility for the accelerated blowing up of petroleum facilities, especially those owned by Shell.

This took place ,yesterday ,(Saturday 25th June, 2016) while inspecting facilities at the Dangote Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

Various opinions have been expressed on why the increased militancy in the nation's oil rich region , even after the Federal Government has launched program for Ogoni Land clean up in a historic event.

Some sources say the avengers uprising might not be unconnected with the recent government contract on inspection of pipelines.

According to the sources, the agitating people were unhappy that their person, Tompolo was not given the contract.

While there are many other angles to the story, many have also warned against using force in dealing with the issue.

"War with the boys means oil production and export would temporarily stop".
"Already the country is running at great deficit. It should produce more", so one source said.

Details later...
