17 year old designs building style nations should adopt to promote food production in cities

The building model known as "farm City"
This innovative building style was designed by a 17 year old boy Benjamin Maduabuchi, who is the creative adviser and web designer for Environment Track.

His concept is based on the fact that the larger populations of young people, who have the energy to cultivate the land, prefer life in cities to rural areas where they are most useful in food production.

With his model, city people can still involve in agriculture, by creating artificial farms on houses.

Available spaces in the compound such as veranda, back yard, roof tops, and even windows, can be designed to promote crop cultivation and animal rearing, however little.

For instance, in his model, the roof has different farms such as fish pond, tomatoes and pepper farms and corn farm with chickens.

The frontage is an orchard of plantains while a side is created for pig rearing.

In general, his model proposes erection of tall buildings such that a building can accommodate a large community  while a great portion of land in the compound is used for trees and food crops, serving dual purpose of mitigating against climate change and promoting food production.
