Lagos Assembly holds valedictory session
The Lagos State Assembly is about now holding its valedictory session at the Assembly complex in Alausa, Ikeja.
The session marks the end of the eighth assembly which began in June 2015.
The valedictory session also presents the Assembly with an opportunity to bid farewell to lawmakers who were not re-elected or have taken up other political positions.
It is also an avenue for the House to present its scorecard for the past four years to the public and for lawmakers to reflect on the legislative business thus far.
Spouses of lawmakers are attending the valedictory session.
The ninth assembly will be inaugurated tomorrow with a proclamation by the governor.
